Maelstrom: Family Ties

And lo; There was Joy...
An interesting development. Several, in fact. The bastard Varas is finally dead - slain by the hand of justice - and so we can begin to consider the possibility of reconciling the tattered remains of all that we have lost this past year. I must say, a small part of me is sad to see him go. A worthy foe, even if he did have designs far, *far* above his station. I think, perhaps, I will miss his hateful glare - it did so amuse and appall me in equal measure. I should deliver my condolences to his friends - though I doubt they would be willing to accept.
I have brought pain upon many of those who have hurt me. And fear to the rest. United the majority of eidolons against Mardocai, made him look like the foolish, hateful aggressor in an unjust war. Solidified arrangements with my allies. Made new friends, rediscovered old ones. And set in motion a plan that will hopefully make the world a better place for all of us. We are strong. We are ascendent. A new dawn approaches, and soon the sun will rise over a world where we need not hide in fear from our enemies, but where we can stand proud as the angels we once were. Together, we will rise, and reclaim that which is rightfully ours. I just hope that we do not get so caught up in revenge that we forget *why* all this happened to begin with...
Several huge things happened this event - things which are hopefully going to make the game a *lot* more enjoyable. And perhaps somewhat less stressful as well. ("WHAT?!?!" You ask. "Maelstrom without stress? Blasphemy!") Things are - though I barely dare say it - looking up for Jezebitch. The house of cards is slowly building back up. This isn't necessarily a good thing. It means there's more to lose...though of course, reclaiming that sympathy vote again can't be bad. It was great to see that those big ol' doors are still open despite everything. Big things ahead. It's only a matter of time before someone *really* tries their luck with ubertheurgic flangeming *shudder* but until that point one can do nought but hope and pray that the social game goes to plan, that all precautions are in place, and that the key is waiting in the lock when the time comes.

Date: 2007-04-17 03:28 am (UTC)I have heard this one mentioned a few times; apparently a mortal opposed us, then he died. This does not seem an unusual state of affairs. What exactly is the fuss about?
Heh, well Varas fought for a year and a day, and upon matyrdom became a Saint (maybe...), and now poor Jezebitch will never get the chance for a final word after that confrontation...
